Ruby Rose has officially chosen her side in the Katy Perry vs Taylor Swift feud.

We already knew Ruby was close with Taylor after she attended her infamous 4th of July party, but she’s just proven her squad loyalty by trashing Perry’s new song Swish Swish, which appears to be a track dissing Taylor.

Not long after the release of Swish Swish, which features Nicki Minaj, Ruby tweeted:

“Purposeful poop to “bomb a petit” to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda…stop trying to make ‘Wit..I mean ‘fetch’ happen.”

In case you didn’t get all the references, ‘purposeful poop’ seems to be a dig at Katy declaring her new work as ‘purposeful pop’. ‘Bomb a petit’ reads like a slam of Katy’s other new single Bon Appetit.

The last bit looks like Ruby has taken the famous Mean Girls quote “stop trying to make fetch happen” and replaced “fetch” with Katy’s new album, Witness.

The Orange Is The New Black star continued her tirade still.

“I just think with everything going on in the world to go from rebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low.. is.. a bummer.

“I’ve always stood up for the people I love and against things I think are cheap or mean spirited,” she continued. That’s not new. You have to follow your [heart symbol].”

In response to the stream of Katy fans that began to troll the Australian, she replied:

“You are her fans you should buy all her songs so the songs will finally chart. If as many as tweeted me bought her last 3 .. the’d [sic] be hits.”

Ruby’s ‘review’ of Swish Swish is nothing less than savage. So what’s this in response to?

Looking at the lyrics of Swish Swish, it’s easy to interpret it as a Taylor diss track, a response to Bad Blood, which is widely believed to be about Katy.

Take a look at the first verse:

A tiger
Don’t lose no sleep
Don’t need opinions
From a shellfish or a sheep
Don’t you come for me
No, not today
You’re calculated
I got your number
‘Cause you’re a joker
And I’m a courtside killer queen
And you will kiss the ring
You best believe

The tiger is likely a reference to Perry herself, given her single Roar, and the ‘sheep’ could be in reference to the shady tweet Katy sent in 2015 which she later confirmed was about Taylor “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

Meanwhile the second verse continues:

Your game is tired
You should retire
You’re ’bout cute as
An old coupon expired
And karma’s not a liar
She keeps receipts

Nicki Minaj’s appearance on the track is likely no coincidence: Nicki and Taylor have had their own beef. In her part of the song, Nicki raps:

Don’t be tryna double back
I already despise you
All that fake love you showin’
Couldn’t even disguise you

There’s no doubt Ruby has earned her invite to Taylor’s 4th of July party this year.
