For the uninitiated, Victoria’s Secret model Josephine Skriver’s boyfriend is Alexander Deleon; ex singer of The Cab and now a solo act under the name Bohnes. The couple have been loved-up (cuddly Instagram posts aplenty) since 2013. And one of the perks of having a girlfriend with millions of followers means she can help promote your own career ambitions, especially if you’re in the music business.
Deleon released a song overnight titled Six Feet Under and – as all good girlfriends do – Skriver enlisted her mates in high places (read: Sara Sampaio, Jasmine Tookes and Laid Ribeiro) to lip sync along to the track, in bikinis on an island in Thailand. In just eight hours, there has been over 450 000 views on Sampaio’s video, 76 000 on Ribeiro’s, 189 000 on Tookes’ and 292 000 on Skriver’s. Translation: The track has reached over one million people that it may not have reached otherwise with Deleon’s humble 290K following.
“It’s not every day the @VictoriasSecret Angels make a music video for your song Sic Feet Under”. Striver responded: “So freaking proud of you and so obsessed with this song.” So sweet.
