Direct from The Beverley Hilton in Los Angeles, the biggest names in Hollywood will descend upon the red carpet today for the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards. It’s a huge moment for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper who are up for Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Motion Picture in the drama category for their film A Star Is Born. Cooper, who made his directorial debut, is also up for Best Director.

While Nicole Kidman (Destroyer) is Gaga’s biggest threat to steal her first ever golden statue, the singer-come-actress still remains the firm favourite to take home the Best Actress in a Drama category. Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) is Cooper’s biggest competition for the Best Actor gong.

“We’re tipping A Star Is Born will be cleaning up this award season,” said Sportsbet.com.au’s Ella Zampatti. “At the Golden Globes, the film is a short $1.10 favourite for Best Picture Drama, with Lady Gaga ($1.22) and Bradley Cooper ($1.50) also favourite in their categories. It’s a similar story at the Oscars where they hold favouritism in those categories, however the market is a lot closer as they’re up against some stiff competition.”

If you’re in Australia, you can watch the red carpet live on Foxtel’s E! channel from 10am or if you’re at your desk, you can stream the carpet live via NBC’s Facebook page. At 12pm, switch across to Fox 8 for a live cross of the ceremony from the States.

Of course, GRAZIA will have to-the-minute coverage on winners, gowns and imminent political discourse during acceptance speeches.
