It’s as if the Awards red carpets keep getting better and better. Like a glamorous warm-up to the Oscars, with each new Awards night comes even more high-octane glamour. Case in point: the Screen Actors Guild Awards, or the SAGs as they’re commonly coined. A roll call of Hollywood’s brightest stars, spectacular makeup played out on the likes of Lucy Boynton, Lady Gaga and Margot Robbie.
Here, six makeup trends straight off the glamorous SAG red carpet to stoke your beauty fire.
Negative Eye Art
Our current beauty and style crush, Lucy Bonyton knocked it out of the beauty ballpark with this spectacular rendition of negative eye art. A tricky trend at the best of times, Bonyton’s delicate, architectural strokes of black around the eye – and her signature spider lash – made for a magical beauty moment.
A strong sweeping of rouge was the unsung beauty hero of the SAG red carpet, with Mandy Moore’s sweet-as-pie blush a winner.
Like the angel she is, Margot Robbie’s entire beauty look was flawless. Makeup artist Pati Dubroff used Chanel Beauty to paint Robbie’s face, with a sprinkling of fine gold glitter picking up the golden embellishment of her magnificent Chanel gown. Actress Julia Garner also sported sparkling gold eyes with thanks to Hung Vanngo.

Eye shadow ran a gamut of colour; from violet to marine green and cobalt blue, eyes were smudged with sparkly, deeply pigmented eye shadows, as celebrities made bold eye moves on the red carpet. Along with Ashleigh LaThrop, Angela Basset and Susan Kelechi Watson, Lupita Nyong’o strong stamp of metallic fuchsia – under her eye only – was a GRAZIA fave.
After the bold lip trend made its mark at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Lady Gaga, Emma Stone, Laura Harrier and Jane Fonda also made a case for the power pout. We particularly loved Gaga’s deep vermillion pout, rich and creamy in finish.
A stellar look from ‘fro-to-toe, Yara’s glossy pink eyes are magic; we’ll be touting these lurex-like lids at our next soirée.
