Leaving the salon with perfectly preened brows is one of the best feelings in the world. Thick, fluffy, lush; there is nothing better than getting a brow refresh, and nothing changes your facial topography quite so much. But what does one do between visits, when those stray, wayward, little tendrils start to grow?

Here, brow queen, Jazz Pampling, shares five hacks to keep your arches looking as fresh as possible between brow appointments.

  1. The number one way to maintain your brow between visits is to tweeze your brow once a week, or once a fortnight, from your initial visit. It is much easier to tweeze a couple hairs confidently, rather than sit down in a month and try to re-create the shape. It seems like a lot of work, but it is the simplest way to keep them tamed.
  2. Don’t tweeze when you are in a rush, this is when we make mistakes. If you don’t have time, you don’t get to do it.
  3. If you tweeze a hair and put a hole in your brow, don’t freak out. Just don’t try and correct the mistake by putting another hole on the other side. Just walk away and let the hair grow back in.
  4. Try not to touch your top lines (above the brow) let your brow artist do this for you.
  5. If you aren’t sure where to tweeze, fill your brow in first and then tweeze so you can clearly see the shape you wish to create.
  6. Don’t tweeze when you have been drinking, I had a client who did this recently, and now she is back in brow rehab growing her brow back in.
