Selena Gomez has just debuted a freshly buzzed undercut on a recent trip to Germany for her collaboration with Puma.

Gomez has become quite the beauty chameleon as of late. Playing with colour over the past six months, the singer has gone from a bleach-blonde bob to a faux rainbow fringe, she even had a brief fling with lavender locks. What Gomez has called a “subtle change”, this time however, the hair change is much more permanent.

Gomez’s hairstylist, Marissa Marino, called LA hairstylist and close friend Tim Dueñas for the impromptu cut before they left for Germany, captioning a photo of the new ‘do with ‘(Selena) loves to keep me on my toes’.

The gentle buzz, which hugs the nape of the neck, is an edgy, albeit subtle, move for the pop princess. Part punk, part street – this new new mood was compounded with a chunky high plait and gold hoop earrings.

Despite it being permanent, an undercut is the perfect way to embrace a little grit and grunge – without the full commitment. Just let your hair down – and poof – it’s gone (for now).

Could this be the latest cool-girl hair trend?
