Actor Margaret Qualley and comedian/actor Pete Davidson have been quietly dating for about a month now, and Qualley’s famous mum, actor Andie McDowell, was recently quizzed about their relationship.
“I FaceTimed with Pete the other day or no, she took a video of me to send to Pete that’s what it was,” she told People magazine when stopped for a chat at Paris Fashion Week.
“She has a beautiful relationship with him but I don’t want to step on her relationship too much,” said McDowell, adding, “They have a nice relationship.”
At the premiere of Qualley’s new film Seberg in Venice last month, Davidson was there, seated the row behind her and unintentionally photobombing snaps of the actor.
Qualley’s star is definitely on the rise. She was nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actress for her role in Fosse/Verdon. She played actress and dancer Ann Reinking in the series. Qualley was a professional ballet dancer herself until she was 16 years old. She modelled for the next five years, for the likes of Chanel and Valentino at Paris Fashion Week and Ralph Lauren and Alberta Ferretti in the US.
Acting is now Qualley’s focus, however, and she’s making great strides; along with Fosse/Verdon she had a star-making turn as Manson girl Pussycat in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and in Seberg Qualley plays Linette, wife of Jack O’Connell’s character Jack Solomon.
After breaking up with Ariana Grande last year, Davidson had a brief fling with Kate Beckinsdale. He is currently shooting the next Suicide Squad movie, is set to lend his voice to the titular role of the dog in Marmaduke, and will star in a Staten Island, a dramedy he co-wrote with Judd Apatow.
We hope he and McDowell get to have a meet-cute IRL real soon.
