Angelina Jolie was joined by all six of her children as she attended a screening of her new film, First They Killed My Father, in Cambodia on Saturday.

Jolie’s appearance near the Angkor Wat temples in Siem Reap with Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, is the first time she’s attended an event since her split from Brad Pitt in September last year.

The group stayed close together at the screening as they celebrated Jolie’s latest project as director, writer and producer, which will air on Netflix this year.

First They Killed My Father is based on the memoir of activist Loung Ung, who was as a child soldier in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge genocide in the 1970s. The Jolies have a special connection with Cambodia after Angelina adopted Maddox from the country in 2002, when he was seven months old.

Angelina has kept a low profile since the shock news last year that she and Pitt were to end their marriage after fourteen years together, and details began to emerge of disagreement over the custody of their kids – Angelina wanted full custody with only visitation rights for Brad, while he wanted joint custody. But the divorce proceedings have virtually disappeared from the headlines since the couple enlisted a private judge to complete the legal process out of interest for their children’s privacy.

This month Angelina appeared to attack Donald Trump on immigration issues when she published an op-ed in the New York Times, in which she pointed out the flaws and dangers of implementing a travel ban targeting Muslim-majority nations, which would prevent millions from being able to enter the US.
