Things between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are getting heated and it appears, now, also very public. The actor recently scolded his ex-wife for compromising their children’s privacy by releasing court proceeding details to the media. Now, Jolie has fired back, first agreeing for custody documents to be sealed but has said the real reason Pitt has made such accusations is because “he’s terrified that the public will learn the truth.”
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Jolie’s lawyer Laura Wesser says Pitt is attempting to “deflect from [his] own role in the media storm which has engulfed the parties’ children.”
“There is little doubt that [Pitt] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegations of abuse.”
The couple were married for two years and filed for divorce on September 19 following accusations Pitt was reportedly abusive to his eldest son, Maddox, 15. Jolie and Pitt have five other children; Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight.
