Anwar Hadid, 20, and Dua Lipa, 24, have taken their relationship to the next level. First they were spotted in matching cutesy necklaces at New York Fashion Week, and rocking stripes and checks (she and he respectively) at London Fashion Week. Back in New York, they stepped out with matching, newly bleached hair, and in tracksuit pants. Lipa’s hair was wet, as if she’d just stepped out of the shower.
They still managed to look cool, because, y’know, they are.
Hadid’s done that bleach with a light wash of pink look, while Lipa’s retained some of her darker colour underneath and at the roots.
She wore a fitted yellow corset top with a floral print, improbably paired with two-stripe black tracksuit pants and black trainers. Her bright blue handbag read “Unisex Time To Act” — possibly a reference to gender-neutral bathrooms?
Hadid wore a punky-looking black tee with a skeleton graphic printed on it, off-white tracksuit pants pushed up to his shins, baby blue socks and white trainers. He looked like he might have been puffing on a cheeky joint, too.
The pair have been dating for a couple of months now and are said to be renting a place in New York so they can squeeze in time to see each other in between their busy schedules. Lipa shared a pic of her new hair on her Instagram, tagging it “A new era! Thank you for your patience. See you soon #DL2”, suggesting new music is on the way soon.
It’s good news for fans, and good news for Lipa too, who has modelled for Adidas and Jaguar and is fronting the campaign for YSL’s new fragrance, Libre. Those gigs, plus her hit singles and sellout tours saw her pocket a cool $16.5 million last year, according to The Sun.
Lipa was most recently dating British model/chef Isaac Crew, from whom she split in June. Hadid was dating actress Nicola Peltz until June last year and was spotted hooking up with Kendall Jenner around the same time. Hadid and Lipa are thought to have got together in June this year. Both of them seem comfortable either glammed up or dressed right down, and we’re kind of into them together.
