It’s been over six months since Archie Harrison was christened, but we finally know who his parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, chose as their royal baby’s godparents.

According to a new report from the Sunday Times, the Sussexes named Prince Harry’s childhood nanny Tiggy Pettifer (formerly Legge-Bourke) as Archie’s godmother, along with Harry’s close friend and mentor, Mark Dyer as godfather.

“They were both constants in Harry’s childhood and beyond,” a source told E! News following the report. “They are fascinating choices of figures in Harry’s life that he will hope may keep Archie rooted somehow in the UK, as they relocate to North America.”

These two lucky Brits likely aren’t the only ones entrusted with the honour. Kate Middleton and Prince William’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, have 18 between them (!!), so it’s expected Archie has at least a couple more.

Of course, Meghan and Harry famously declined to reveal who they picked at the time of Archie’s christening in July 2019, something that was frowned upon by the public.

Though we don’t know for sure, it’s rumoured that Harry’s childhood friend Charlie van Straubenzee was also named godfather to Archie. It wouldn’t be surprising if Meghan’s best friend, Jessica Mulroney, whose children were the royal bride’s bridesmaids and who looked after Archie when Meghan and Harry popped back to the UK last week, was also given the honour.

Harry recently gave his first public statement following his and Meghan’s announcement to step back as senior royals, explaining in part that he and Meghan will continue to live a life of service and saying the decision was not made lightly.

“I was born into this life, and it is a great honour to serve my country and the Queen. When I lost my mum 23 years ago, you took me under your wing. You’ve looked out for me for so long, but the media is a powerful force, and my hope is one day our collective support for each other can be more powerful because this is so much bigger than just us. It has been our privilege to serve you, and we will continue to lead a life of service. It has also been a privilege to meet so many of you, and to feel your excitement for our son Archie, who saw snow for the first time the other day and thought it was bloody brilliant!”

While Meghan and Harry have both now headed back to Canada where they are splitting their time, Kate Middleton and Prince William have put on a brave face, attending their first appearance since ‘Megxit‘ at Buckingham Palace last night.
