Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have gone public with their relationship.
After speculation they were dating, then a subtle hint in her Instagram stories, Davidson shared a photo of the couple on his own account with the caption:
“The chamber of secrets has been opened …”
The pair are wearing Harry Potter robes, hence the reference to the second book in the series about the boy wizard.
Ariana couldn’t resist leaving a pun in the comments: “u tryna slytherin (I’m deleting my account now).”
It’s possible the singer and Saturday Night Live star bonded over their love of Harry Potter. Their relationship seems to have moved fast: just last week a source told People “it just started and is casual.”
Ariana and Pete, both 24, could be on the rebound. Last month they each ended their relationship with a long-term partner; Mac Miller and Ceri David respectively.
The No Tears Left To Cry singer called her relationship with Miller “toxic”.
Ariana isn’t the only superstar to be dating one of the SNL cast: Scarlett Johansson has been dating Colin Jost for more than a year, and Emma Stone is thought to be in a relationship with writer and segment director Dave McCary.
