Ariana Grande has put her pain from her split with Pete Davidson into new material.

After taking a swipe at her ex-fiance for joking about their broken engagement on Saturday Night Live – she tweeted “For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u [sic] sure love clinging onto it huh … Thank u, next” –  she revealed she’s releasing a new song titled, you guessed it, Thank u, next.

Answering fans questions about the track on Twitter, Grande insisted the song won’t diss Davidson, but instead be about how she’s grown from the experience.

It’s about “a new chapter, gratitude, growth, embracing our path bumps [and] all,” she wrote.

“No drags…. no shade….. jus [sic] love, gratitude, acceptance, honesty, forgiveness … and growth. Cause her name is Ari …. n i’m so good w thaaaat…n how she handles pain …. that s–ts amazin…anyway …… thank u, next.”

The break-up has been figuratively and literally painful for the 25-year-old – she’s had at least one of her several tattoos dedicated to Davidson erased.
