It’s no small feat to draw the limelight from the incredible ocean view offered from the cliffs of Coogee in Eastern Sydney, but that’s exactly what Jodi Anasta did when she stepped out of her car at the most recent MYER Spring 2017 fashion showcase.
The model-turned-actor looked stunning, but it was her outfit – a wide-legged pant and ruffled crop top in contrasting bold prints – that drew the attention of both paparazzi and other guests as they queued outside the runway show’s private mansion venue.

The label she wore? Asilio, now a regular go-to for not just Anasta, but a host of celebrities and style influencers both here (Jennifer Hawkins, Nadia Bartell) and overseas (Kourtney Kardashian, Naya Rivera).
With this week’s announcement the brand has appointed former Project Runway star and Woolmark Prize 2015 finalist Jamie Ashkar as creative director, all eyes are now on where Asilio goes to from here, particularly given his signature structured, geometric aesthetic is a departure from some of the frilled, lace-based looks of the brand past.

“My direction for the brand is all about encapsulating the femininity with a slight edge, the focus on strong silhouettes, key fabrications with an elevated perspective of what we all love about ASILIO,” Ashkar told GRAZIA.
“Presenting pre-fall for 2018 is very exciting, focusing on texture, strong shapes, and really refining the collection, introducing new finishing and more attention to detail in construction and the final product.” Congratulations Jamie! We wait with baited breath.
