The 2018 Emmy Award nominations have been announced, and when the winners are revealed on September 17, it could be quite a historic year for television.

Sandra Oh, nominated for her performance in Killing Eve, has become the first Asian woman to receive a nod for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

John Legend could also make history this year. Legend is nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his lead role in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert. If he wins, he’ll not only achieve EGOT status to become one of only 12 people who’ve won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. It would also make him the first black man to do so.

Come September 17, Australians will be rooting for Yvonne Strahovski, who’s earned her first Emmy nomination for playing Serena Joy in The Handmaid’s Tale. The show scooped a whopping 20 nominations all up, including Best Drama Series.

Strahovski is competing for the award against her co-stars, Alexis Bledel and Ann Dowd, as well as Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Thandie Newton (Westworld) and Vanessa Kirby (The Crown).
