For a girl who’s made a living out of showing more bare skin than fabric on her body, supermodel and Victoria’s Secret catwalk star Bella Hadid just proved she can do covered-up bombshell too.
The 22-year-old, who famously wore one of the most risqué dresses ever seen on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, donned a black corset mini-dress for her birthday party this week and typically defers to micro-crop tops and sheer clothes when public events, opted for a completely out-of-character dress at a YouTube cocktail party in Paris.
Below-the-knee with long sleeves and the top button on her neckline fastened tight, this was a look that had all the hallmarks of a librarian look on paper, but at the other end of the sexy scale. Ruched in all the right places and so tight it literally left nothing to the imagination (other than a stark was she/wasn’t she query in the underwear department), this $3463 Emilio Pucci 3/4 Dress in brick pink with sequinned collar, teamed with matching Pucci sandals, was ‘bombshell’ with a capital B(ella).
Glamour-model hair and makeup and Shay Jewelry rings and earrings, plus a Dorateymur crocodile-print bag from the as-yet-unreleased Spring Summer 2019 collection capped off her ‘glamour Barbie’ look. It’s not easy making fellow cashed-up clothes-horse Kendall Jenner look a distant second in the style stakes, especially when she’s wearing a fabulous ’80s-style disco-sequinned, but that’s exactly what Hadid did at this party.
