Bella Hadid has been granted a restraining order against an alleged stalker.

New York City man Brian Perez, 37, has been ordered by a judge to keep away from the model after he sent Bella threatening messages, then turned up at her home.

In court documents seen by E! News, Bella alleged she has been receiving unsolicited messages from Perez on Instagram since December, including one that read:

“You want me to come? I’m going to come there now. Please don’t make me come all the way down there and then there’s a situation with your security or something.”

On February 9, Hadid says she arrived at her Manhattan apartment building to find Perez outside, which “caused her to fear for her physical safety” and “feel anxious and nervous”, as well as “harassed, annoyed and alarmed”

Perez was charged with two misdemeanor accounts – aggravated harassment in the second degree to stalking in the fourth degree – and will face court next month.

Currently in the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week, Bella may have been able to see the lighter side of the situation. She posted the below picture overnight, soon after the news of the restraining order broke, captioning it “My hiding spot has been found @springstudios”.

Gigi Hadid has also been forced to deal with stalkers.

She sold her $2.45 million New York apartment after a 37-year-old man attempted to get into her place at least five times, making it as far as her front door on one occasion.

The man, Marcell Porter, is serving up to three years in prison.
