Yesterday, we brought you Margot Robbie in a spectacular paisley pant suit by Matteau. Indeed, the chic shirt and pant made us reconsider both relaxed, pyjama dressing and print-on-print, a daring fashion feat even for the most intrepid of fashion followers. But now Bella Hadid has us entirely convinced, bolstering the case for two of fashion’s trickiest trends by joining the print pyjama party in Miami.

At Dior’s Pre-Fall Menswear show at Art Basel, Bella Hadid wore a graphic floral shirt and matching pant in monochrome black and white. Despite its relaxed, oversized silhouette, the model looked every bit the bombshell, bringing the glamour with cascading mermaid waves, an insane silver smokey eye (at deft the hands of Peter Philips) and black heels.

Perhaps even more noteworthy, however, is the fact the outfit was in fact “Menswear”, straight off Kim Jones’ surfy Pre-Fall Men’s runway. A waxy homage to the dude-dom of surf culture, Hadid (along with Kim Kardashian West) wore the same Dior pieces of the male models before them.

Brilliantly breaking the shackles of gendered fashion, Hadid’s sartorial role reversal proves that even dedicated menswear can look sexy. Bring on the print pyjama party, we say.
