It’s a little ironic that Bella Hadid and The Weeknd broke up due to the distance between them. Ironic because there was all but less than a metre between them when the former couple locked eyes on the 2016 Victoria Secret runway overnight.
Ending their relationship in November after 18 months, a source told people “their schedules have been too hard to coordinate and he is focusing on finishing and promoting his album. They still have a great deal of love for one another and remain friends.”
Just yesterday, Hadid said there would be no awkwardness during the VS show as her ex-boyfriend performed. “This is his second year performing, and I think he’s going to kill it,” she told E!. “There is no awkwardness. He is my best friend, and I am excited because I am walking during his performance.”
The moment was obviously something Hadid was thinking about on the plane ride over when she was snapped by a fan looking at old photos of the couple on Instagram.
And now, take a look at these pictures. Hadid, underwear-clad and looking the best she’s ever looked, walked towards her ex-boyfriend. The Weeknd, who finished putting the final touches on his album just a week after he split with the model, is seen singing to her, many speculating some of his songs were altered to reflect his current state of heartbreak. But take a closer look and don’t tell us all love is lost: The StarBoy is more than starry-eyed over his angel.
