The brow. That kinda weird, kinda ugly, hairy little arch above our eyes can quite literally change your face. One stray pluck, one rogue tweeze, one ill-fated wax – and game over. Face-changing, in every sense. And whilst some were blessed with the brow gene (fluffy, full, lush), others weren’t at the front of the line when the beauty Gods were handing out eyebrows. One of those people was Bella Hadid.

Yes, according to Bella, she has bad brows. “I’ve always had really thin brows, I got them from my dad,” she told Coveteur. Blame Mohamed, but Bella claims she’s not naturally endowed in the brow department, and has always struggled with it. “Growing up I was always self-conscious about my brows, but I really didn’t know you could do something about it.”

Lucky for Bella, her industry facilitated some serious brow movement and she grew privy to the fact you can change your brows, despite how little you’ve got to work with. “I did not know people did brows, that that was a thing, so I kind of really learned from the makeup artists I’ve been working with over the years. In what she described as “revolutionary”, the ability to enhance the brow with powders, pomades and pencils has apparently changed her face – for the better.

So how does Bella take her brows now? “I definitely like to keep my eyebrows thin, but still fill them in, so…fake it till you make it, I guess.” See, beautiful brows come in all shapes and sizes – just with a little help sometimes.
