Winter is… whatever. We’d rather re-appropriate that over-gagged Game of Thrones tagline for far more interesting season: spring. With less than two months until the warmer weather is official, it’s time to get your style arsenal ready. (PS. Season 7 however kicks off in exactly seven days. Set your Foxtel IQ accordingly.)

Good news from back in the real world is that the Spring/Summer 2018 mens runway shows that wrapped in Paris earlier this month gave a window into the key trends and best designer buys for guys heading into next year.

GRAZIA spoke to three of Australia’s top men’s fashion experts (and stylish devils to boot) for their picks of the best shows and looks they’re loving for the fast-approaching warm weather. (Godspeed.)

FAVOURITE SPRING 2018 MENS COLLECTION As every look came down the Balmain runway, I felt my poor bank account get lighter and lighter. I loved the striking black and white looks, the signature Balmain details and textures, the khaki and leather spliced blazer, the leather sleeved tuxedo jacket, the mixed stripe looks – too many to choose from. One of everything please.

See every look from the Balmain SS18 runway show here.

The new trend I’ll be wearing come spring is fifty shades of grey. I noticed lots of grey tones at the shows. I never was a fan of grey, but I’m slowly being converted – Thom Browne and Fendi provided some major #greygoals. I noticed lots of stripes too, so I’ll definitely invest in some black and white vertical stripe pants, like the Balmain ones. I could wear them casually with a T-shirt and white trainers or dress them up with a black tuxedo blazer or leather biker jacket.

PERSONAL FAVOURITE LOOKS were these from Dolce & Gabbana, DSquared2, Dior Homme and Alexander McQueen below.

FAVOURITE SPRING 2018 MENS COLLECTION The best show was Comme des Garçons Homme Plus. The collection was a hybrid of rockabilly and disco references paired back with the latest Nike collaboration which were pink Air Max 180.

The new trend I’ll be wearing come spring is an oversized silhouette. The SS18 shows were an ode to the late 1980s and early ‘90s, which was evident in the sportswear and tailoring. Activewear is still a big trend across all the brands, there is still a heavy focus on sportswear collaborations like Vetements and Reebok, and Comme des Garcons Homme Plus and Nike.

FAVOURITE SPRING 2018 MENS COLLECTION was Officine Generale. I love the one colour, layered outfit combinations of pants worn back with trenches over bombers and sweaters.

The new trend I’ll be wearing come spring is head to toe one colour or tone outfit combinations. This is a cool way to layer and is very much what I wear now and feel good in.

Personal favourite looks were these from Julien David and Officine Generale below.
