2. The Olsen twins had kids table hair
4. Felicity you made it!
Every time I see Keri Russell I just can’t help but picture unfortunate Felicity Porter, trying to make it in the Big Apple in her sleeve-clutching, over-sized turtle-necked best. That’s why my feeling when seeing this pic one of pure triumph. Felicity you did it girl! You conquered NY. Keri Russell was all a-feather in Joseph Altuzarra and honestly has never looked better – truly birdlike (more peacock than pigeon) because of the impeccable fit, irresistible colour and innovative textile of the dress. Don’t look now Ben Covington, you fool.
5. Katie Holmes came as Suri
But it was only a wig. Suri’s mum pulled the wool over all our eyes, with her hair stylist DJ Quintero declaring ‘Chop Chop! #MetGala #BTS BIG transformation!’ on social, producing a very circa-2010 Suri bob. One we loved TBH, especially when teamed with this sparkler of a Zac Posen gown.
6. Lizzy Caplan ruled in Donna Karan
Full disclosure: I feel that if Lizzy and I were to meet we would be instant pals. So you know, I’m already into it. She wasn’t the night’s biggest showstopper but her Donna Karan gown’s floral beading + the gold fringe earrings + simple make-up is just pure elegance.
7. Dylan Lauren looked like she’d give you diabetes
Sure she’s the owner of Dylan’s Candy Bar but that’s no excuse for looking the human version of one. She is indeed also the daughter of Ralph, the original purveyor of American chic, which is why this dress is a significant outrage.
