Beyonce, queen of surprising her fans, has done it again.

Netflix announced overnight that Homecoming, a documentary about Beyonce’s history-making Coachella performance, is dropping on April 17.

Homecoming will, Netflix says, give “an intimate, in-depth look at Beyoncé’s celebrated 2018 Coachella performance from creative concept to cultural movement.”

As the first woman of colour to headline the festival, Beyonce’s performance, an homage to the black college experience in America, went down in the history books. The release of the Netflix documentary marks one year since the epic show.

In the age of leaks, it’s truly a feat that Team Beyonce managed to keep this under wraps until 10 days before the release date. Flawless.
