Following the tragic an unexpected deaths of both her mother, Carrie Fisher, and her grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, actress Billie Lourd has spoken out for the first time.

Posting a private family photo to Instagram, the Scream Queens star took the opportunity to thank her fans and friends for their support during the past week when both her mother and grandmother died within a day of each other.

The throwback snap shows Lourd in a cheeky group hug with her mother and grandmother. Captioning the heartbreaking post, Lourd said: “❤?‍?‍?❤ Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist. There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me.”

Fisher, 60, best known for her roles in Star Wars and When Harry Met Sally, died on December 27 after suffering a heart attack on board a plane. Tragically her mother, Reynold’s, 84, also a Hollywood icon known for her roles in Singin’ in the Rain and Will & Grace, died the following day after suffering a possible stroke. Lourd has received an outpouring of support from her fans and friends, including actor John Stamos and Scream Queens co-star, Ariana Grande.
