Blake Lively’s Saturday morning in New York City began with a birthday message from Gigi Hadid. “You make being a legend (and also being kind, hilarious, perceptive, grounded, hard working, the hottest mom and wildly stylish – all at the same time) look easy,” Hadid posted on her Instagram feed under a photo of she and Lively. “I feel lucky to have a friend like you to look up to. Thanks for being my #1 go-to-gal for home baking challenge dreams-come-true and serious, unapologetic @taylorswift backup dancing. Love you. Happy Happy birthday @blakelively (sic).”

The actress’ day then took a turn when a fan questioned Lively’s Roland Mouret suit she wore around the Nolita district on August 18. (Lively has worn six suits in six days while in New York to promote her new film, A Simple Favour, in which her character Emily exclusively wears men’s tailored three-pieces.) “I say this with so much love and respect for you babe, please hire a stylist or fire the one you’re currently with,” a fan under the Instagram account @gabeluna wrote under Lively’s stylish post.

The 31-year-old actress who shares a similarly wicked sense of humour to her husband Ryan Reynolds shot back. “@gabeluna Thank you for the tips, sir. Alas, I’ve tried to fire @blakelively so many time. But that b*tch just keeps coming back. She won’t leave me alone.”

While Lively and Reynolds reside in Bedford – just outside city – it appears when the former Miss van der Woodsen is on the Manhattan side, some old-school Serena comes into play, and this move could surely topple Blair’s throne.

@gabeluna, keep that account private! XOXO, Gossip Girl.
