Not since Yanny/Laurel or The Dress has something infiltrated our communal psyche as much as Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s performance of Shallow at the Oscars.
Debates are raging about whether the performance was too much, and whether Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper might secretly be in love. Almost everyone has weighed in, so it was only a matter of time before Cooper’s ex-wife Jennifer Esposito made a comment.
Esposito, an actress who was briefly married to Cooper from 2006 – 2007, has sent the internet into a frenzy after leaving an ambiguous comment on an Instagram post by David Spade, who shared a picture of Cooper and Gaga with the question:
“Is there any chance these two aren’t f***ing?”
Esposito wrote “HA!” on the post, a word that could be interpreted in so many different ways. Sure, she could just find the joke funny, but when you write that on a post implying your ex-husband is cheating on his partner, it’s undisputedly loaded.

Esposito hit back at the attention on her comment, tweeting “Somehow I’m insulting an [ex] by laughing at a joke someone else made? Pls take your insanity elsewhere.”

It’s hardly the craziest thing that has come from the Oscars performance – Mel B argued it was unfair to Irina Shayk and that Gaga broke “women’s code”. Now that is insanity.
