Taylor Swift’s got one, Kendall Jenner’s got one, and now Brie Larson has revealed she too has a squad.

The Oscar-winner has opened up about her Hollywood inner-circle, telling Vanity Fair how her close group of female friends “saved my life”.

“I felt lonely and bad sometimes,” she told the publication of back when she was on the publicity trail for Room, which earned her an Academy Award. “I was embarrassed to keep talking about myself.

“Emma [Stone] wrote this beautiful e-mail out of nowhere, and then one day [Jennifer Lawrence] sent me a text message after she saw Room, and we started talking.”

Brie says that spawned into a group text support group with Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham.

“That [group of friends] saved my life,” the 27-year-old continued. “I was able to talk with them about everything that was going on in my life, and it was with people who had been through it before and are also hilarious.

“That support and acceptance was everything. I was home-schooled, so I didn’t have friends that had the same interests as me, and I found it to be absolutely incredible.”

Brie’s friendship with Stone was apparent at this year’s Oscars, when the two embraced backstage following Emma’s Best Actress win for La La Land. Brie, who won Best Actress the year before, later shared the shot to her Instagram account.

She captioned it “You know what’s better than winning? Watching your friends win.”
