Considering she started career life as a singer, Rihanna is somewhat a style barometer when it comes the shoe fabrics.

First it was faux fur on her Fenty Puma slides early last year, triggering a tidal wave of cheap imitations that are still selling strong today. Next came her red velvet ‘Creeper’ trainers, right at the tip of the velvet accessory boom.

Tomorrow, when the star’s newest Fenty Puma by Rihanna collection drops, we’ll see satin star as the fabric du jour, ranging in colour from crisp white and khaki to even Millennial pink.

If you studied Rihanna’s Fenty Spring/Summer 2017 runway show at Paris Fashion Week late last year, you’ll be familiar with the Marie Antoinette-inspired “Regal Street” footwear already, off-set on models with oversized clothing and multi-strands of faux pearls.

As well as her signature plastic slide reinvented with a large satin bow (replacing the fluff of seasons past), this range also serves up Jenny From The Block-style trainer-look stilettos, retailing for $600, and ultra-high platform boots in tan, black and khaki leather and satin fabrications.

While the Bow Slides have already dropped on the Puma website in Marshmallow (aka white) for $120, they have almost sold out already. Shop more of the Fenty x Puma collection on StyleBop 4pm AEST Friday April 28.
