As stand-alone brands, both By Far and Paris Georgia sit as kind of barometers of cult cool. Indeed, as soon as you sling one of their glossed-up, Hadid-approved Rachel bags over your shoulder or slip into their slinky, waist-tied crop tops, it’s as if a sense of pure hip-dom comes over you. Fashionably, you’ve made it.

So when the designers decided to collaborate and birth style babies in the form of handbags and shoes (indubitably By Far’s baguette and butter), we were all ears (and feet and hands). Teasing us back in May with a prelude of what was to come at Paris Georgia’s Spring Presentation, the collection of kitschy handbags, sculptural heels and square-toed boots are now available to purchase come November (next week), and as you might remember, are quite simply divine.

Tapping Paris Georgia’s modern adaption of the female form and By Far’s expertise in leather, the two brands co-designed four styles in myriad hues, which riffed the former’s Resort 2020 palette. Desirous and directional, the ‘Paris’ cocktail bag comes in three colour ways – punchy apple green, powdery lilac and bubblegum pink – and is finished with gleaming chandelier trim and glass-bead top-handle. While ‘Georgia’ is much more sensible, an everyday classic, her simple messenger shape is minimal yet mighty.

Down south, their footwear further modernises By Far’s traditionally vintage approach with a ’90s slant, presenting a can’t-live-without square-toe boot and slender tonal heel which skews a little higher than its kittenish fore-sisters.

Playing on the duality of the masculine and feminine, and fluidity and structure, Paris Georgia and By Far bring to life the shoes and bags we’ve been dreaming of.
