Recap: Last week Cardi B posted the most honest take on Donald Trump’s order for government officials to return to work unpaid while the administration is shut down over the border wall. You can watch it here.

One bitter and outspoken conservative, FOX Nation host Tomi Lahren, decided to hit back at the rapper via Twitter. “Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys!”

Cardi B fired back with this piece of gold.

Lahren replied “I’m sure you would. Still doesn’t make your political rambling any less moronic,” before hashtagging #BuildThatWall.

But it was New York congresswoman, Bronx-local Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez who stepped in to back up the rapper. Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted?” She wrote. “They act as though our borough hasn’t been perfecting the clapback game since the Sugarhill Gang. y’all just found it on Twitter.”

Via an Instagram live video, Cardi B vented her distate for other people telling her she wasn’t qualified to talk on political matters. “A lot of people think I’m dumb, think I’m ghetto because of the way I talk…but just because I’m that it doesn’t make me dumb and one thing I really want y’all to understand about me, I’m a very passionate person when it comes to history and when it comes to political things, and I always been like that,” she said.  “It just really gets me upset when people say, ‘Oh you doin’ this s—, you’re dumb, you shouldn’t be talking about this shit’… This is a passion that I have.”
