What’s a two-time Oscar nominated actress and style icon to wear when she steps out for Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week’s closing soireé? A floor-length Rochas dress that’s seemingly made of molten glitter ball and has a neckline low enough to show off the real star of the outfit: one jaw-dropping diamond necklace so enormous it looks like costume jewellery.

Such was Australian actress Naomi Watt’s state of sartorial affairs at the launch of Cartier’s new High Jewellery Collection, called Coloratura, held in the Cour Carré at the Louvre, where a glass structure was specially constructed for the VIP gathering and glittering treasures jazzed up the necks, wrists and rings of lucky invitees.

Over dinner, guests were treated to a performance choreographed by Paris Opera prima ballerina Marie-Agnès Gillot, whose troupe (shown below) all wore creations from the Coloratura collection. English singer and model Dua Lipa wrapped the proceedings with a more contemporary show.

Amongst the star-eyed VIP crowd for the gala dinner were Watts, Iranian actress and singer Golshifteh Fahrani, Italian actress Monica Bellucci, French actress and director Mélanie Laurent, Indian actress Freida Pinto and Franco-Italian socialite and street style star Bianca Brandolini d’Adda – all draped in treasures from the Coloratura collection. See for yourself in the images below.
