In breaking beauty news, it’s just been announced that a Celine haute parfumerie collection debut is coming this October. The work of creative director Hedi Slimane, the collection will be comprised of 11 fragrances for both men and women of the following names: Parade, Saint-Germain-Des-Prés, Dans Paris, Cologne Française, Bois Dormant, La Peau Nue, Rimbaud, Eau De Californie, Reptile, Black Tie, and Nightclubbing.
According to images uploaded to the brand’s Instagram, the fragrance will be enclosed in a solid glass flacon with a weighty black lid emblazoned with the reimagined Celine by Hedi Slimane logo. While we’re yet to experience the scents themselves, the masculine-feminine brief sounds chic, understated, and aligned with the brand’s new direction.
The collection will not be Slimane’s first foray into the dreamlike world of fragrance, given he worked on multiple perfume projects whilst at Christian Dior some 15 years ago. His time with the Celine brand however has been equal parts iconic and controversial, so it’s a safe bet that the impending launch will be met with great fanfare. At the current time, it’s been announced that the collection will be available through Celine boutiques only from late October.
