Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have been forced to evacuate their home as serious bushfires that have already claimed 300 homes continue in California.

The couple are among at least 200,000 people that have fled their homes in the Los Angeles and Ventura regions, but the model and Twitter queen has kept her signature sense of humour throughout the ordeal.

“Never thought I’d get to actually play what I thought was a hypothetical game of what would you grab if there were a fire,” she tweeted overnight.

“So far all I have is Luna, some limited edition Oreos and my spike tv award.”

On a more serious note, she assured the world she, Legend, Luna and the pets are fine, and expressed her gratitude to firefighters battling the blaze, which has already scorched more than 116,000 acres.

“We are fine and we will be fine. Thinking of everyone else affected and continuing my lifelong intense love of firefighters.”

Chelsea Handler, Paris Hilton and Nicole Trunfio are among the high-profile stars that have been forced to evacuate the area, which has also seen road and school closures.
