While the idea of untouched, virgin hair is endlessly appealing, lightening up your lengths with sun-kissed balayage and ombre caramel tones means brunettes can still embrace new season shades without sacrificing their natural roots. But what if the top half of your hair needs a little boost too? Enter the colour smudge technique. Taking a brunette shade and smudging from the roots to mid-lengths will add colour depth and richness, without affecting your beloved ombre. SCHWARZKOPF Brilliance makes it super simple to smudge, watch now.
