On high rotation, these skincare hits have been beauty-editor approved (and loved). Slather this way…

The Cleanser
Dior’s take on freshness; this lotion-to-foam cleanser is cleanliness bottled. A shower fave, I use two pumps and lather into an airy, foamy cleanser, usually part of my cleansing second act (first act: oil cleanse). It deeply cleanses, purifies and refreshes the skin, spiked with white tea extract, it’s exactly what I want in my cleanser, and most importantly, smells so fresh, so clean.

The Essence
A recent convert to the Essence (how un-Beauty-Editor of me, I know), I’m now hooked. Particularly in the throes of post-holiday skin (read: disaster skin 101), I need every little drop of help I can get. Enter the essence, namely, this one from Origins. I slather this on morning and night and revel with beauty glee at my skin’s instant glow. I’m particularly fond of this Essence because of its consistency; it’s slightly thicker and more like a refined goop – a beautifully light, weightless goop at that. For me, essence can often be too watery (of course, part of its function is to be light and water-like), but many are so watery that I find it hard to actually apply. This Origins Essence Lotion is exactly as its name suggests, an essence-lotion hybrid which has a thicker viscosity and leaves my skin gloriously luminous, bright and supple.

The Serum
The not-to-be-missed step in your skincare regime, I have been obsessed with the new and improved Clarins Double Serum since launch (OK, pre-launch), so much so, I recently cracked open the bottle to salvage my last few drops. Presenting its new star ingredient, turmeric (ta da!), this golden elixir smooths out fine lines, tightens and leaves my skin feeling supremely golden and radiant.

The Mask
For a lazy masker like myself, this very chic multi-tasker has answered my masking prayers. A sleep mask; you simply slather on at night, sleep in it, and arise beautifully soft and hydrated (without a soggy sheet or serial killer face in sight). Full of silk proteins, this lightweight, gel-like mask has been my substitute for a thick, heavy night cream for months now (tip: I also slather onto my sun-damaged décolleté). Like silk pyjamas, but for your face; this is a definite must-have for those with an aversion to rich night creams (or Hannibal sheet masks).

The Moisturiser
This has been my go-to moisturiser over the summer; shine-reducing and sheer, it’s the perfect antidote to sweaty summer skin (and for those who tip the oily side of the skin scale like myself). Essentially a skin superfood, it’s loaded with a nutrient-dense micro-algae blend of chlorella, spirulina, and laminaria saccharina, all of which help to minimise pores and leave you radiant. Despite being lightweight, it offers the perfect hit of hydration, particularly during these hot months.
