New York based fashion designer Cynthia Rowley lands in Melbourne this week for VAMFF where she’ll discuss the inner workings of the global fashion industry and introduce her shop-in-shop concept in collaboration with luxury department store Harrolds.
The designer first hit our shores last year when she presented her collection on the runway at MAFW and rode the waves at Bondi (yep, she’s a surfer). Not surprisingly it was the designers wetsuit designs that first caught our attention, the brand features a swim and surf category along with ready to wear, fitness, beauty, jewellery, fragrance, shoes bags, tech accessories, eyewear, office and home furnishings.
Needless to say she’s learned a trick or two in the three decades since launching her label.

THE BEST LIFE ADVICE I WAS EVER GIVEN was to never pack more than you can carry yourself.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY CAREER has been participating in meaningful collaborations with some of my favourite charities and organisations including the CFDA Foundation and Every Town for Gun Safety.
MY FASHION MANTRA IS more is more and less is a bore.

I AM INSPIRED BY anything and everything. Invention, culture, humour. I try to soak up as many experiences as I can.
