Demi Lovato spent New Year’s Eve reflecting on the past year and being grateful to make it to 2019, the pop star revealed overnight.

On her Instagram Story, the 26-year-old told fans that while she’s had a tough year, she’s grown and learned some powerful lessons after battling with drug addiction.

“So grateful for the lessons I’ve learned this year,” the Sober singer said.

“I will never take another day in life for granted, even the bad ones.

“Thankful for my fans, friends, family and everyone who supported me throughout this year. God bless.”

Lovato, 26, was found unconscious at her Hollywood Hills home by her assistant back in July, hours after consuming a dangerous cocktail of illegal drugs.

Breaking her silence in August, the singer said she has “always been transparent about my journey with addiction.”

“What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”
