Diane Kruger, we bow down. Not just because you’re a brilliant multi-award-winning actor, Venice and Cannes Film Festival judge, are fluent in three languages, a celebrated style icon and one of the most beautiful women on the planet.

Rather, today we stand in awe at your ability to pull off one of the riskiest sartorial feats we’ve seen in recent times: this neon pink ‘tourist’ hoodie at a glitzy, high-luxe event filled with dressed-to-the-nines fashion peeps.

Kruger, who is no stranger to bold fashion choices, wore the oversized Balenciaga hoodie featuring an airbrushed New York City skyline to the YSL Beauty Hotel event held today during the Autumn/Winter 2018-19 Menswear Fashion Week in Paris.

Kruger’s soft pink-hued makeup and natural-wave hair were fittingly perfect given she’s was at a beauty soiree, but it was her choice of outfit that saw her stand out from other A-list guests like Zoe Kravitz and Courtney Love. And for all the right reasons.

Very few mortals (let’s be real) could get away with this oversized, hooded vermillion beast let alone make it look sensational, ber choice of skin-tight black pants and pointed stiletto boots certainly helped. Teamed with a box-style Louis Vuitton bag, they offered a high-fashion, highly-feminine balance to an otherwise ironic ’80s-throwback look.

Of course, there was nothing budget about the still un-released cotton oversized hoodie by Balenciaga either. Pre-orders here on the Barney’s New York website note its price at a whopping US$895 (that’s $1125 Australian).

Kruger’s alternative designer look was in stark contrast to Kravitz (another GRAZIA style fave and YSL Makeup Ambassador), who flashed plenty of skin in an incredibly low-cut LBD, sparkling hoop earrings and stilettos.
