In what is most likely one of the highlights of their careers, seven artists have been invited by the luxury fashion house to each use a Lady Dior handbag and several accessories to display their creative motivation.

The limited-edition pieces will see works by prominent artists Mat Collishaw, Ian Davenport, Daniel Gordon, Chris Martin, Jason Martin and Matthew Porter splashed across the most popular Lady Dior bags and accessories as part of the Lady Dior Art Project.

The six creatives follow in acclaimed artist Marc Quinn’s footsteps, who was the first to project his creative vision onto one of the iconic handbags and small leather accessories in June. This was not only as part of the art project, but to tie in with the opening of the House of Dior in London.

trinkets
Lady Dior quirky trinkets, which fuse contemporary cool with classic refinement, will also be available along with the handbags

In what is de rigueur for brands now – the merging of art and fashion – the work on each exclusive piece is undeniably bold, bright and beatific, yet all still manage to ooze the prestige and conservative stature of the Dior house due to the bag’s classic, understated shape. And we do mean exclusive – with just 100 of each style being produced.

Besides the coveted handbags, GRAZIA can exclusively reveal more pieces from the collection that are on offer, including small leather goods and trinkets.

wallets
Other offerings from the Lady Dior Art Project include wallets and card holders

Evening clutches, key chains, scarves, bracelets and smaller leather goods with the artists’ distinct designs will also be available, with prices beginning at $469 for a card holder to $14,897 for a mink bag.

The limited-edition pieces will be unveiled on November 29 in the French fashion house’s Miami Boutique and, proceeding, in Los Angeles, Korea, London, China, Dubai and then Paris.
