This might come as surprise, but the world’s most famous down-filled jacket brand, best known for fashioning that fire engine red puffer worn by Drake in Hotline Bling and his Coachella ‘yella waistcoat last weekend, happens to make a lot of other rather pretty, warmer weather treasures too.

Which is convenient given Moncler has just opened its first store in Australia – a huge 200 square metre boutique in Victoria’s Chadstone Shopping Centre – and it might be hard to justify buying more than one sub-zero-suited snow jacket a season in our relatively warm climes.

Despite being named after French alpine region popular with the rick and famous, the 60-something-year-old label now offers dresses, skirts, trousers, T-shirts, knitwear and even accessories like shoes, bags and sunglasses in its womenswear collections, and its Gamme Rogue line shows each season at Paris Fashion Week.

It has friends in high places (standing next to Drake) too. Last year, Off-White founder Virgil Abloh created a capsule collection of mostly yellow pieces for the brand, following on from a limited edition stars and stripes jacket collaboration with Thom Browne that was quickly snapped up by supermodels and fashion fanatics.

While the label has been available online for some time, the new bricks-and-mortar store offering means you can finally see, feel and fall in love in person. Drake would want you to.
