Drake and Rihanna have given us yet another sign that their status has moved from ‘complicated’ to ‘in a relationship’ (although it’s fair to say it’s still thoroughly complicated, at least for us).
Both artists got tattoos backstage at Drake’s show in Miami on Wednesday night, with the artist Bang Bang writing on Instagram that he was “tattooing the amazing @badgalriri + @champagnepapi”.
Bang Bang then shared a photo of Rihanna’s new design, which is a shark with camouflage patterned skin, on her ankle. According to E News! it’s in reference to the late-night romantic aquarium date Rihanna and Drake enjoyed in Toronto last month.

There’s no sign of the Hotline Bling rapper’s new tattoo yet, so we’ll hold off saying they got matching ink until further notice. However, given the intense connection between Drake and Rihanna that’s painfully obvious every time they’re seen together lately, we’re willing to bet his is a tribute to her, too.
The pair also upped the ante with their on-stage chemistry yet again at Wednesday night’s show – fan footage showed them kissing as Rihanna exited the stage.
