The Sun is reporting Princess Beatrice of York accidentally cut Ed Sheeran’s face with a real-life ceremonial sword while attempting to fake-knight James Blunt. We know. Weird, strange party behaviour.
Blunt had reportedly joked earlier in the night that he should be referred to as “Sir James” as the party gathered at the Royal Windsor Lounge. The Princess, who has allegedly run off to get a real instrument to carry out the mock ceremony, lifted the sword to tap the musician on his shoulder but reportedly misjudged the weight of the blade and managed to cut innocent bystander Ed Sheeran’s right cheek. Sheeran, who was at the party with his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn, was rushed to hospital. Fan photos, like the one below, reveal the damage.
