MILAN: With a tummy so taut and a pout so pursed, Emily Ratajkowski made the designers of New York Fashion Week and those over at Victoria’s Secret question their casting choices in the past weeks. She was indeed a notable absentee from both. Walking for Italian design heavyweights Versace and Dolce & Gabbana in Milan this week, the newlywed model was show-stopping in a both a black slinky midi and ruched ice blue corseted garment at each respective show proving she can do sexy and editorial. (But mostly sexy).

It was her off-duty style that captured the most attention. The second edition of the Green Carpet Fashion Awards happened in Milan overnight, an event which celebrates luxury Italian houses’s dedication to increasing their sustainability efforts. Among the green carpet ruckus was Donatella Versace (whose label is rumoured to be acquired by Michael Kors for a cool AUD $2.76 billion this week), Elle McPherson, Cate Blanchett and Cindy Crawford. But it was Ratajkowski’s mustard Roberto Cavalli billowy sleeved midriff and matching mini/skort that made the strongest case I’ve ever seen for flying to New York City and attending several ab classes at Equinox. Straight off the runway just hours earlier, we give you your next party vibe.
