It’s commonplace for New York to play host to multiple mid-week star-studded soirees. Last night over on Varick Street in Soho, Australia’s favourite export Hugh Jackman was awarded the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service at the God’s Love We Deliver charity event. Priyanka Chopra was there – she’s thrilled for her friend Meghan Markle by the way – as was Anna Wintour and Naomi Watts. Over on Bowery Street, however, a couple of kilometres up the road in the Nolita region, a less common sighting: Emily Ratajkowski wasn’t wearing a form-fitting showstopper. Instead, the model, actress and activist wore an asymmetrical, nautical-inspired backless top by Monse and white trousers by Marina Moscone. Winnie Harlow, Chloe Sevigny and Elsa Hook were also at this party, a glam gathering for Moet & Chandon and Virgil Abloh New Bottle Collaboration Launch Event at the New Museum.

The 27-year-old – along with I feel Pretty co-star Amy Schumer – was arrested two weeks ago for protesting against Brett Kavanaugh’s ascension into the US Supreme Court at Capitol Hill.

Last night in Brooklyn, Australian models Jordan Barrett, Cheyenne Tozzi, Alexandra Agoston and American celebrity stylist to Bella Hadid, Elizabeth Sulcer, went bowling at the grand opening of hair stylist Rob Peetoom’s Big Apple digs. It looked loose, but then most things Barrett shows on social media look that way.

And that, my friends, is a night in NYC.
