They’re the loved-up couple whose relationship the pop sphere is experiencing in real time. They started dating: we saw it. They fell in love: we heard about it. They got engaged: we read about it. Justin Bieber, never far from the controversial spotlight, has openly, and gushingly, confirmed his love and dedication to now-fiance Hailey Baldwin. And oh how the fans, the haters, the passers-by have reacted. Some with party poppers, some with eye rolls (John Mayer’s Instagram trolling of Bieber yesterday was case in point…), some with shattered hearts. And some with anger on behalf of his constant on-and-off ex Selena Gomez. Was she the one before the one? Was Hailey always the one? Well, that’s speculation for another column. We’re here for the fashion.

We’re tipping our hat to (while madly copying) Miss Baldwin’s bang-on, enviable style. Perhaps it was a well-kept new year’s resolution for the model because since January this year the 21 year old niece of Alec Baldwin has found her fashion fire. Moving on from a more junior look of winged eyeliner and body-con dresses, Baldwin’s style is now sleek, chic and one the world is watching.

Often in the fashionable company of Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid or Virgil Abloh (Louis Vuitton menswear creative director) Baldwin is the perfect It-Girl blend of youthful grit and glamorous ingenue. Her enigmatic chameleon beauty lends itself as effortlessly to an elegant red carpet as it does to off-duty street-style nonchalance.

While we will be watching the lead up to the (reportedly soonish) wedding with baited breath, here we pay homage to the model’s 15 most chic looks this year, including the one we would could imagine seeing her in walking down the aisle. Whatever she wears, she’s had one helluva fashionably fabulous year…and it’s only July.

Strolling with her beyonce, Baldwin stepped out last week in New York City in the love-em-or-hate-em trend of the now…the bike shorts. This T By Alexander Wang set is one for the love-em column.

With BFF Kendall Jenner (with whom she shares a matching tattoo) out in Tribeca on June 7, Baldwin wears a perfect LBD by Jacquemus. The sleek hair and classic jewellery perfectly contrast the micro-mini-with-knee-high-boots combo.

At the Billboard Music Awards in May this year, Baldwin wowed on the red carpet in a stunning gold column dress by Alexandre Vauthier but it was her cute-as-a-button Giambattista Valli yellow party frock which had us Googling, well, “cute yellow party frocks”.

This year, on the red carpet of dreams that is the Cannes Film Festival, the model wore an incredible, embellished Roberto Cavalli Couture ‘naked’ gown. It’s blush pink colouring on an all-but-see-through fabric threw perfect accent to her casual up-do of pink hair. A very fresh fashion juxtaposition.

Once again in Cavalli Couture, Baldwin attended the Cannes Dior dinner with friends Winnie Harlow and Bella Hadid. The micro mini dress with oversized metallic sash revived eighties dinner-party glam in the best way.

At the premiere of The American Meme at the Tribeca Film Festival in April this year, Baldwin simmered in fringed, glittering ensemble by Zuhair Murad Couture. This is twelve thousand percent stunning.

Running with her ‘naked’ style looks, this Zuhair Murad catsuit Baldwin wore to the I Heart Radio awards in March was polarising among the armchair critics. But say what you like, she looks smoking. Also ten points for what must have been a bursting bladder by the end of the night.

Not just inspiring for a styled-up event, Baldwin does dressed-down semi-grunge like she invented it. This all-black Yeezy kit of leather pants, oversized hoodie and full length brushed wool coat is set perfectly with her kicks, graphic sunnies and signature top knot.

A the International Centre of Photography awards in April, Baldwin’s look was sexy yet understated. The cut of the slip-style, two-piece from Jason Wu FW18 was elegantly cool but it’s the colour that had us shouting WIN!

Perhaps one of the first times that more than just the pop sphere sat up and took note of Baldwin as an emerging supermodel was at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party this year. The show-stopping Venus-style gown by Atelier Versace was old school glamour in every way.

Strolling NYC with Jenner in February, Baldwin does her signature borrowed-from-her-boyfriend look. Oversized shearling, band tee, straight cut jeans and Seinfeld kicks. But since her then-rumoured beau was the preppy-styled Shawn Mendes we’re thinking this wardrobe is all hers.

In a Cinderella moment, Baldwin gave everyone princess goals when she walked the famed steps in this custom Tommy Hilfiger gown at this year’s Met Gala. Although she attended with maybe-boyfriend Shawn Mendes her real date for the night seemed to be this dress. And can you blame her?

Chic beyond belief. Baldwin took the plaid suit trend and had it for breakfast. Keeping it chill with overly long cuffs, simple beauty and sea-salt wet hair this Tibi two-piece had everyone racing to purchase anything with checks.

Anyone in the southern hemisphere winter right now will see this look and, despite is almost casual-pj’s-chic appearance, wishes they could open their wardrobe to find it. An oversized Max Mara teddy bear coat, simple white-wash blue jeans and those delicious furry Gucci slides? This is winter done right.

And finally…a hint at her wedding dress style perhaps? Vintage, sexy, embellished, Cavalli Couture? Baldwin looked every part the modern bride when she attended the amFAR gala in February this year. Her embellished gown, once again by her favoured designer Roberto Cavalli was ethereal and elegant. So will she go for bohemian romance once again? Time will tell.
