The Spice Girls have exploded back into the zeitgeist as they prepare to reunite for a tour in 2019 (without Victoria Beckham).

Following that news, Geri Horner has dropped a mind-blowing bombshell about the lyrics of one of the band’s biggest hits, Spice Up Your Life.

Geri, AKA Ginger Spice captioned an Instagram video “hai-Si-ja-hold tight,” referencing one of the lines from their 1997 song. Some fans expressed their shock at the correct lyrics – many thought the words were “I see ya” or “Hi, see ya”.

As it turns out, they were singing “yes” in Japanese, Spanish and German.

Who knew?

Geri will hit the stage with Emma Buntin, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm for six concerts in the UK next June – reportedly with more dates to follow.

Victoria Beckham has opted out of the reunion, despite – or maybe because of –  being publicly shamed by Mel B on Halloween.
