She’s been trudging through the snow and icy footpaths of New York City in signature leather pants, heavy-duty boots, wind-breaking jackets and blue coloured shades in between Fashion Week fittings, rehearsals and shows. And in between applying upside-down lashes for the Jeremy Scott show, Gigi Hadid made a bold statement in wishing her boyfriend a happy Valentine’s Day in the best way she knows how; modelling.
Stepping out from her apartment and presumably en route to a show, Hadid wore a slashed singlet wit “Zayn” splashed across the front in bright yellow letters. Now, we’re just waiting to see Zayn sport a TommyXGigi namesake bomber.
Hadid made her debut appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on February 9 where she discussed who the couple, who have been dating for 18 months now, first met. “We actually met at a friend’s birthday party a few years ago,” she said. “He was in New York to come to the Victoria’s Secret show… and ended up not coming,” she said.
“I was like, ‘I’ll play it cool, I’ll go to the after party.’ He wasn’t there,” Hadid confessed, laughing, “And then later that week, we ended up going on our first date.” She admitted it only took a few minutes into the date for them to both drop the “too cool” act.
