When it comes to awards season, we’re usually blessed with very little information about what actually goes on inside venues once celebrities have filtered past the red carpet. But thanks to Instagram, we know that Hollywood loves a good burger after a big night out, especially when the Golden Globes are concerned.

In 2016, after winning best actress for her role in Room, Brie Larson celebrated by eating an In-N-Out burger with one hand and holding her trophy in the other at an after-party, swapping her heels for Converse sneakers in the process.

And famously after last year’s ceremony, Julia Roberts posted a backseat selfie of her and her husband, Daniel Moder, hitting the drive-through on the way home, burger in hand.

But despite Hollywood’s love of a good beef patty, this year’s Golden Globes’ menu will be entirely plant-based.

According to the Los Angeles Times, celebrities who attend the ceremony on January 6th will be choosing from a vegan menu, something the Hollywood Foreign Press Association implemented in an effort to help the environment in the face of climate change.

In a statement, the company’s president Lorenzo Soria said, “Over the holidays, we took time to reflect on the last year and began thinking about the new year and the decade ahead. The climate crisis is impossible to ignore and after speaking with our peers, and friends in the community, we felt challenged to do better.”

He continued, “The decision to serve an entirely plant-based meal was embraced by our partners at the Beverly Hilton, and represents a small step in response to a big problem.”

It looks like this year, the In-N-Out will have to wait – unless, of course, celebrities opt for the veggie burger which is, in my humble opinion, ridiculously delicious.
