In our home country of Australia, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is one of the most anticipated events on the fashion calendar. Ushering in an exclusive crowd of editors, stylists, influencers and buyers, the once closed-off event now offers a weekend of hotly anticipated runway events, parties and industry talks to the public. Aptly titled the ‘Weekend Edition’, GRAZIA and ICON will host an immersive runway and a newly announced workshop with Rachael D’Alessandro and Tom Simpson.
Over the past four years, we’ve seen designers, models and influencers including Mimi Elashiry, Sarah Ellen, Pia Muelenbeck, Samantha Harris, Cartia Mallan, Fleur Egan, Charlotte Stokes and many more take part. Exploring the art of balancing a career, family, travel and the ins and outs of the fast-paced industry, the duo will get candid on MBFWA highlights, style inspiration and more in an in-depth talk session.
Behind the Tales of Man blog along with two full-time careers, D’Alessandro and Simpson capture their life through the lens of two parents in the fashion industry. Head of Design at One Teaspoon, Rachael D’Alessandro’s Instagram page is enough to illustrate her wildly successful career as is partner Simpson’s work as Head of Menswear at The Iconic. With young daughter Venice close by, the household of three are redefining the typical modern family.
