Halsey and G-Eazy have ended their relationship.
The Him & I singer broke the news to fans overnight, saying in a statement that she and the rapper were going their separate ways after a year together.
“I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel I need to inform my fans,” she wrote in a note posted on her Instagram story.
“G-Eazy and I are taking some apart. I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.”
That sounds rather civil. But soon after, the 23-year-old shared a photo of herself with her dog, adding the caption “kiss my dog on the forehead and then kiss ur ass goodbye.”
That’s a play on a line from Drake’s song 8 Out Of 10, “kiss my son on the forehead …” believed to be about his strained relationship with the mother of his child.
In May, G-Eazy was arrested for assault and drug possession in Sweden. Halsey was with him at the time.
